The Board of Cooperative Educational Services, Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus is seeking qualified candidates for the following position:
Position: Accountant
Assignment: Carrier Educational Center- Angola, NY
Division: Business & Financial Operations
Appointment: Provisional - 1.0 FTE
Salary: $55,000 - $70,000. Based on experience
Classification: Civil Service- Competitive

Qualifications Required:
Candidates must meet Chautauqua County Civil Service requirements:
A. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered four (4) year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management or related field including or supplemented by the completion of 24 credit hours in accounting and one (1) year of progressively responsible full time paid accounting or auditing experience which must have included the maintenance or auditing of double entry books of a business including the general ledger or in maintaining a governmental agency’s books involving appropriation accounting and the preparation of budget and financial reports or in the field auditing of such books; OR
B. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered two (2) year college with an Associate’s degree in Accounting, including or supplemented by the completion of 18 credit hours in accounting and three (3) years of experience as listed in “A” above; OR
C. Graduation from a two (2) year course with a diploma in accounting from a New York State registered Business school and three (3) years of experience as listed in “A” above; OR
D. An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of A, B, and C above.
Qualifications Desired:
Organizational development experience
Good written & oral communication skills.
Knowledge of Excel, spreadsheets, word documents
