The Board of Cooperative Educational Services, Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus is seeking qualified candidates for the following position:
Position: Prevention Education Specialist
Assignment: Western New York Region
Division: Instructional Support Services
Appointment: Probationary - 1.0 FTE
Salary: Minimum $58,528, Subject to increase based on experience.

Qualification Requirements: Candidates must possess Professional/Permanent New York State certification in an education content related field. Health or Physical Education certification preferred. Must be able to travel by car within the WNY Region. Valid State Driver’s License.
Qualifications Desired: A willingness & ability to teach students grades 4 - 12 about healthy relationships and decision making, sexuality education, and reducing risks of teen pregnancy and other outcomes of sexual behavior, have the ability to differentiate instruction for all learners while keeping a high level of student engagement, have a desire to collaborate and work as part of a team, and willingness to travel to various school districts throughout the region.
Preventative Care Specialists work collaboratively as a team to implement and support students and employees in health and wellness initiatives such as any of the following:
- Project Know Education
- AED First Aid and CPR Training
- Instruction of NYS Coaching Courses
- Social Emotional Learning or other Mental Health programing
