The Board of Cooperative Educational Services, Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus is seeking qualified candidates for the following position:
Position: Teacher of Career & Technical Education (HVAC)
Assignment: Carrier Educational Center – Angola, NY
(Assignment is subject to change)
Division: Career & Technical Education
Appointment: Probationary – 1.0 FTE
Daily Rate: $49,212 - $103,017
Qualifications Required: Backgrounds of HVAC is preferred.

Qualifications Required: Candidates must possess New York State Certification in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration 7-12 or meet the qualifying requirements to obtain a Transitional A Certificate (2-4 years of qualifying work experience* depending on the level of post-secondary education and possession of an industry related credential). Must be willing to complete college coursework to obtain initial and professional certification.
*Qualifying experience is defined as comprehensive and appropriate work experience as follows:
This title requires the applicant to have in-depth, comprehensive and appropriate work experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration units as well as with temperature and air quality control systems in commercial and/or residential buildings. Individuals are typically trained in all three areas of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, which may include a specialty in water-based heating systems, solar technology systems, or commercial refrigeration. Experience may include, but is not limited to, using trade-related blueprints, diagrams and other specifications to install new HVAC systems or repair and improve older systems.
