Position: Teacher of Career & Technical Education (Culinary) (2 Positions)
Assignment: Ormsby Educational Center – East Aurora, NY

Appointment: Probationary – 1.0 FTE
Salary: $50,452 - $105,613

Qualifications Required: Candidates must possess New York State Certification in Culinary Careers 7-12, Food & Nutrition 7-12 or Food Preparation 7-12 or meet the qualifying requirements to obtain a Transitional A Certificate (2-4 years of qualifying work experience depending on the level of post-secondary education and possession of an industry related credential). Must be willing to complete college coursework to obtain initial and professional certification.

*Qualifying experience is defined as comprehensive and appropriate work experience as follows:
For Culinary Careers: This title requires the applicant to have in-depth, comprehensive and appropriate work experience in the culinary arts, such as day-to-day preparation of food for restaurants and other food service establishments. Experience must include, but is not limited to: cooks, chefs, bakers, caterers, or others who work closely with them. Experience may also include direct management of the professional kitchen and
its culinary staff.
For Food & Nutrition: This title requires the applicant to have in-depth, comprehensive and appropriate work experience in food and nutrition to achieve and maintain people’s health. Experience may include, but is not limited to: assessing nutritional needs, providing dietary counseling, preparing food for nutritional value, and/or planning and directing meal preparation as a nutritionist or dietician. Experience can be completed in an institutional setting such as a hospital, government agency, food manufacturing company, or other appropriate entity.
